Ice Storm

Well yesterday marked the great ice storm of 2009. It looks like we're going to have another one this year starting tonight. My university already closed classes tonight and I'm hoping tomorrow as well :) However, I really can't live a week without power again. I think I'll go CRAZY!!!! Snow is one thing but when it comes to ice that's a whole different story. We're suppose to get about an inch of ice (we got 1.25 inches last year) but on top of that we are suppose to get like 4 inches of snow. I know that's not a lot but here in the South everything gets shut down and closed with just an inch...ha. Anyways, we'll cross our fingers and hope its not going to be as bad as they say. You would think the end of the world was coming with all the people in town at Wal-Mart stocking up on food and stuff. Here are some pictures from last year including Old Main (the tree's in front of the lawn are hundreds of years old and they don't think they will be able to make it another ice storm).

DIY Jewelry Holder

I have so much jewelry and for weeks now I've been thinking about making something to hold it all. If you like most you have TONS of jewelry and about 20 different jewelry boxes. I know a lot of girls that have like clear plastic tubs like these to store their jewelry in...

So I came up with this!!!! Ta-da!!! Not a very good picture but it's pretty large and it will hold a lot. I hung it up in my bathroom. SO CUTE!!!!

So gather up your jewelry

Pick some fabric
Get a bulletin board

Just use a staple gun to attach the fabric to the back of the board. Easy peasy!!!

Say Hello To My Little Friend

Her name is Pinky! For some odd reason I name everything...even my purse has a name. Anywho, this beauty is an early birthday present from my mommy. My last laptop just stopped turning on for some reason and since I'm starting school again I needed a new one. Never did I think I was getting a new one so soon OR that it'd be a PINK one!!! I'm so blessed...God always provides for my needs.

My last day at JB was yesterday and it was bittersweet. I know I was miserable there and wanted to leave for months but I love all my friends I've made there. Going back to finish school wasn't a hard decision but for some reason yesterday I was sad to be leaving. I worked there three and half years so it will definitely be weird to not be going to work come Monday. I knew I'd be missed by all the warm goodbyes and hugs. So school starts Monday and a new chapter begins!

SICK SICK BLAHHHH!!!!!!!!!

I think I'm getting very sick. I swear I always get sick during big events in my life. Not that quitting my good paying job of over 3 years is anything major :P . I know I'm making the best decision...finishing school. It's just hard when we're in this horrible economy to live carefree. I'm definitely excited to start school Monday. I just gotta get back in the swing of things. Hopefully, I'll meet some new friends as well ;) .

A book every single woman should read....

Seriously, very in depth and makes you think really hard about the way you handle relationships and dating. I would highly recommend this to any single woman though. I'm definitely passing it on. Sometimes we know whats right and wrong but we need to see it in writing and see it outlined in the bible. It's hard being a christian and finding Mr. Right. Your standards and morals are higher then what the world has set. I think some of the men I date probably think I'm nuts or crazy. Anyways, READ THIS!
